ABOUT
New Elephant Home is an upcoming ethical elephant sanctuary project in Chiang Mai, Thailand that transformed itself in 2020 from what was previously an elephant entertainment camp. With the support of Lek Chailert, from Elephant Nature Park and Save Elephant Foundation, we have been working hard to give our elephants a more dignified life. Today, they roam freely in our spacious land without needing to undertake any hard labor.

When we arrived at New Elephant Home we received a warm welcome from the staff. We got the opportunity to use their traditional clothes during our visit. We had to prepare the snacks for the elephants and started to feed them. Then we went for a walk with the keepers and a really kind elephant called “little”. You can see that the elephants are very happy to be there and the staff is doing their best for them. After meeting the elephants we visited the long neck village in this camp. Due to the good English of our really friendly guide we were able to had a conversation about the history and vision of the New elephants home and got a lot of insights in the culture of long neck village. We had a lot of fun and can really recommend it, totally worth the money!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Ilias TrichopoulosWhat a beautiful place with lovely people and elephants! Tolle, freundliche und sehr bemühte Angestellte. Wer Elefanten streicheln, füttern, waschen und tierquälerei vermeiden will, der ist hier genau richtig. Eine absolute Empfehlung!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Thananya Gujralvery into the nature and the staff are friendlyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Marek TGreat few hours spent by feeding elephants and learning about the sanctuary and Karen lifeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Jamie Lucasamazing experience with great staff making it even more memorable
